About BFV

Best Fight Video was started in 2012 by a man in Florida. We'll call him Florida Man. That should tell you pretty much everything you need to know.

"I saw a guy throw the worst left hook I've ever seen at a gas station in Pinellas County, and I thought — this needs an audience."
— Florida Man, founder, allegedly

The origin story

It was 2012. The country was deeply concerned about whether the world would end in December. Florida Man was deeply concerned about whether the dude at the deli counter was about to start something. The dude did, in fact, start something. Florida Man pulled out his flip phone. The footage was grainy. The footage was glorious. Best Fight Video was born.

Twelve-plus years later, here we are: a curated, edited, technically-broken-down collection of the most ridiculous, technical, regrettable, and instructive scraps that humans get into when emotion runs ahead of judgment. We're not glorifying it — we're commentating on it. There's a difference. We promise.

What we actually do

We watch. A lot. So you don't have to wade through hours of bad-camera-angle nonsense to find the ten seconds where someone slips on a banana peel mid-haymaker.

Every clip that makes the page goes through our process:

Our actual philosophy

Fights are dumb. Most of them, anyway. But they happen, and when they do, there's a lot to learn — about footwork, about distance management, about why you should never throw the first punch off your back foot, and about why you should probably leave the deli when the guy in the cargo shorts starts taking off his hoodie.

We feature combat sports, gym sparring, viral street-fight clips that are already public, and submitted footage. We do not feature minors, gore, weapons attacks, footage where someone might be seriously hurt or worse, or anything that violates platform policies. Our licensing agreement and submission rules spell out the line.

Where we live

The home page is, well, the home page. The action happens on socials:

Got a clip?

Of course you do. Send it over. If we use it, you get credit. Florida Man personally watches every submission. We can't promise he doesn't watch them at 1.5x speed.
