This page explains what Best Fight Video ("BFV", "we", "us") collects about you, why, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Plain English. No 40-page legal scroll.

1. Who we are

Best Fight Video is a content brand operated out of Florida (USA) that curates, edits, and publishes combat-sports and viral fight footage across social platforms. The website is at bestfightvideo.com. For privacy questions, email hello@bestfightvideo.com.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you use the Submit a Video form, we collect what you enter:

• Your name (first and last)
• Email address
• Phone number (if you provide one)
• Video URL and any description, location, date, on-screen credit, and notes you include
• Whether you filmed the video yourself and, if not, the original source link
• Your acceptance of the licensing agreement

When you email us or message us on social platforms, we receive whatever is in those messages.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider receives standard request metadata: IP address, user-agent string, the page you requested, the time, and any referring URL. We use a small portion of this (specifically your IP) to rate-limit the submission form against bots. We do not run third-party analytics, ad pixels, session replay, or behavioral tracking on this site.

2.3 What we do NOT collect

• We do not collect payment information — we don't sell anything through this site.
• We do not place advertising or marketing cookies.
• We do not buy data from third parties.
• We do not use third-party trackers to follow you around the web.

3. How we use what we collect

• Reviewing submissions. Your form contents go to a private internal admin queue so we can decide whether to feature your clip.
• Crediting you. If we publish your clip, we use your name or handle as on-screen credit per the submission form, unless you asked us not to.
• Reaching back out. If we have questions about a submission or want to confirm rights, we may email or call you using what you provided.
• Anti-abuse. We use your submission's IP address only to throttle spam — at most 3 submissions per IP per 10 minutes. We don't build a profile.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that make the site work. These providers act on our behalf:

• Hosting: Railway (railway.com) — runs the application servers.
• Database & storage: Supabase (supabase.com) — stores submissions, video metadata, and uploaded files.
• Email delivery: Supabase Auth (when we send admin sign-in links).
• Social platforms: Once a video is published on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X, those platforms' own privacy policies apply to anyone who views or interacts with the post there.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not "rent" lists. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. How long we keep things

• Submissions we use: retained as long as the corresponding post is live on our social channels, plus a reasonable record-keeping period.
• Submissions we don't use: typically removed within 90 days of decision.
• Email correspondence: retained for as long as it's reasonably useful for our records, generally up to 24 months.
• Rate-limit IP records: rolling, expires automatically.

6. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what data we have about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Delete your submission and personal info
• Stop using your name as on-screen credit in future posts (existing posts that already include your name will not be re-edited unless you also request takedown of the clip — see the Licensing agreement for that)

6.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

You have the same rights above, plus the right to know whether we sell or share your personal information. We do neither. We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the prior 12 months and don't intend to.

6.2 Europe / UK (GDPR)

The legal basis for processing your submission is the contract with you (we can't review a submission without the data you submit) and our legitimate interest in operating a fight-video brand. You can object, request portability, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Email us first — we'd rather just fix it.

7. Children

The site and its submission form are for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. We do not feature footage involving minors and we reject any submission that appears to.

8. Security

Submission data travels over HTTPS and is stored encrypted at rest by our hosting and database providers. No system is unhackable — if we ever experience a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected people as required by applicable law.

9. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, if the change is significant, note it on our social channels. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
